... is a powerful male of the group. He is distinct in many different ways, from his long windup "hooo!" leading to his tree drumming, to his grey beard and slight grin. Freddy has adopted an unrelated male orphan. He carried him, shared his food and his nest with this orphan. It is these characteristics, which have made Freddy a favorite amongst researchers.
