... was orphaned at the age of six when his mother was killed by a poacher. He joined his father Zyon who cared for him for years. Although he has a crippled left hand he is a very skilled hunter and loves to eat meat.

Kuba cracks a Coula nut while Jacobo, Kinshasa, Kuba’s sister and Kirikou Kuba’s nephew are watching. The adults leave and Kirikou takes over the hammer and cracks a nut on his own.
