Position Description:
The activities of the WCF, mainly education and biomonitoring, are being conducted around Taï National Park in Côte d'Ivoire since 2002.
For a Chimpanzee Habituation Project near Djouroutou, we are looking for a person on a volunteering basis seeking experience on chimpanzee habituation and project management:
- organize and supervise a team of field assistants
- organize and supervise the WCF education and awareness project around Taï NP and an Eco-tourism project
- reporting of progress and financial reports.
Qualifications/Experience:
Experience on working in tropical Africa is of advantage.
Needed language skills: very good spoken French, English also in writing.
A driver licence is required.
Candidates should be interested in wild chimpanzees, their habitat, their behavior and conservation.
Salary/funding:
Travel and housing costs as well as a monthly consultancy fee are provided.
