The celebration of International Women’s Day continues as we recognise the incredible women who are making a lasting impact in conservation and community development. Across our project landscapes in Liberia, female ecoguards, female tourist guides, female biomonitors, female beekeepers, and the inspiring women of the Sapo Women Conservation Enterprise are playing a vital role in protecting nature while supporting their families and strengthening their communities. Their dedication, resilience, and leadership are helping to build a more sustainable and inclusive future for people and wildlife alike.
We are also grateful to our valued partners and supporters, the European Union, Rainforest Trust, Rainforest Rescue and Elephant Crisis Fund whose support helps empower women and advance conservation efforts across Liberia.
Together, we celebrate the achievements of women everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to supporting women as leaders, advocates, and protectors of the environment. Because empowering women strengthens communities and protects nature.
