New school year for Club PAN 2025–2026: Let's go!

26 Nov 2025

From 26 to 28 November 2025 in Mamou, Guinea, we successfully launched the training and start of the new season for WCF's environmental education project - Club PAN (People – Animals – Nature). This session brought together 24 school supervisors (12 principals and 12 teachers) from the Pinselli-Soyah-Sabouyah National Park (PSS) and Badiar National Park areas. Objective: to strengthen their skills in biodiversity conservation, ecosystem protection and appropriate teaching methods to raise pupils' awareness of fauna, flora and sustainable environmental management. On the agenda: dynamic discussions, practical activities and teaching tools to better convey these values to younger generations. On 29 November, we followed up with a powerful initiative: a symbolic donation of school supplies for 60 pupils at the Ouré-Kaba primary school. A concrete gesture to support environmental education and schooling in rural areas.

Some figures: 4th year of the Club PAN in the PSS area, 2nd year of the Club PAN in Badiar, 600 pupils (300 PSS + 300 Badiar) receiving school supplies, 12 schools involved, with the support of 24 school supervisors for both areas.

Thank you to our partners and donors for their commitment: Club PAN schools and supervisors, European Union NaturaGuinée, Serengeti Park Stiftung, Zoo am Meer Bremerhaven, Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, Guinean Office of National Parks and Wildlife Reserves (OGPRNF), and of course the communities of PSS and Badiar. ➡ Together, let's raise a generation that is aware of environmental issues!
