Law enforcement

Together with the national authorities Society for forest Development (SODEFOR) and Office Ivoirien des Parcs et Réserves (OIPR), the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation has been supporting law enforcement activities in Taï National Park and Cavally Nature Reserve which was previoulsy the Cavally Classified Forest. We support community eco-guards and eco-guides patrols that collect SMART data and report monitoring results to the authorities, with detailed results of illegal human activities and animal densities, so that law enforcement patrols can be most efficient.
