Wildlife clubs

The Wild Chimpanzee Foundation together with the Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia (SCNL), The Nature Compact and the Forestry Development Authority supports 40 wildlife clubs in schools around Grebo-Krahn National Park, Proposed Kwa National Park, Lake Piso Sustainable Multiple Use Reserve, Foya Proposed Protected Area, Gola Forest National Park and Cestos-Senkwehn Proposed Protected Area. Each wildlife club has 30 members; thus, the program is educating 1,200 pupils per school year. Teachers receive manuals, key materials and support for their wildlife clubs.
